Camden Neon Racing Statement PDF Print E-mail

On behalf of the entire Camden Neon Racing team, David Challons would like to clarify some misleading reports from their victory in round three of the Eureka Garages and Sheds Super Sprint Series at Warrnambool’s Premier Speedway last Saturday night.

It was reported in both the race reports from the Premier Speedway and the Eureka Garages and Sheds Super Sprint Series and also broadcasted numerous times over the PA system that the second engine that Lines’ reverted to for the feature race was not up to scratch. After the running of his second heat race Lines was forced to switch to his second engine after his main engine had dropped a valve.

The commentators on the night speculated that the second engine that Lines ran in the feature race was not up to scratch and also said that it might not even start for the feature race. In fact, that couldn’t have been further from the truth as Lines went onto to take out the feature race. The engine in question had also this season set quick time at the Speedway City World Series round a few week back and also set quick time during the previous round of the Eureka Garages and Sheds Super Sprint Series at Avalon Raceway.

“Peter Morris from Maxwill Race Engines always provides us with the very best service and equipment,” stated Camden Neon Racing team owner David Challons. “On the night the commentators voiced their doubts about the reliability of the engine and to be honest it is just as good as the main engine. Our team is run to the highest of standards and all of our gear is the latest and reliable equipment we can get our hands on.”
